Woof & Purr proudly serves the dogs (and pet parents) of Vancouver’s downtown West End, Coal Harbour and Yaletown neighbourhoods.
We are pet first aid certified, and licensed, bonded and insured with Profur Insurance, and are a certified dog trainer, graduating from DogStars dog training academy.

Working from home doesn’t necessarily mean you have more time to take your dog out for a good walk, and under-stimulated dogs can be disruptive to your work day or destructive to your home. If you need help ensuring your dogs gets the exercise, pee/poop breaks, and stimulation they need throughout the day, we can help.
We offer both solo walks and pack walks. Our walks are 30-minutes or 60-minutes long.
Our Dog Walking Services
| Walk Type | Availability | Suitable for |
| Solo (30 min & 60 min) | Monday – Sunday | All dogs including: Playful puppies Reactive / fearful dogs Dogs in training |
| Pack (30 min & 60 min) | Monday – Friday | Dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs Dogs who are indifferent to other dogs |
During our walks, expect that we will:
- Communicate the time window we’ll be walking your dog.
- Pick up your dog at your place, or meet you outside if that’s your preference.
- Take your pup on a brisk walk, prioritizing exercise, sniffing and mental stimulation.
- Get in as many pee / poop breaks as your pup requires.
- Reward your dog with treats and affirmation for good behaviour such as heeling, following commands, etc.
- Send you an update about how the walk went, and a pee / poop report using our mobile app.
- Return your pup to your home.
- Towel off your pup after the walk to keep your home nice and tidy.
- Note: We can administer medication, prepare raw food, etc. for an additional fee.
How it Works
1. Let us know your needs
- What days / times you need your dog walked.
- How many dogs you’d like walked (if you’re a multi-dog household).
- How long you’d like your walk to be (30 minutes or 60 minutes), and whether you’re interested in solo or group / pack walks.
- Information about your dog, such as
- Whether your dog is reactive to people, dogs (if so, specific breeds?), or other animals.
- Whether your dog has a bite history, needs to walk with a muzzle, etc.
- If your dog requires medication or food you’d like us to help with.
- Anything we should know about your dog’s health.
- Anything we should know about your dog’s behaviours that will keep them happy and safe on walks with us.
2. 30-minute meet & key collection
We’ll arrange a convenient time to meet you and your dog, and to review your instructions. We’ll make sure to review your dog’s walking equipment, and collect a spare set of keys if you’d like us to access your place either when you are not there, or without disturbing you.
3. Receive updates via our App
We’ll send you a photo of your dog and some notes about how the walk went, pee / poop updates and any other notable (or cute) stories from the road. We can communicate via our mobile app which will send you an email. We don’t support other communication channels at this time.
4. Provide payment
We accept e-transfer, and credit cards. We send out our invoices every week and payment is due upon receiving your invoice.
