Cat Sitting

Woof & Purr proudly serves the cats (and their parents) in Vancouver’s downtown neighbourhoods including the West End, Coal Harbour and Yaletown.

We are pet first aid certified, and licensed, bonded and insured with Profur Insurance, and are a certified dog trainer, graduating from DogStars dog training academy.

Whether you need a cat sitter in Vancouver to look in on your furry friend overnight, for a weekend, or for a week or more, Woof & Purr can help. We have more than 14-years experience caring for cats (from kittens to older adults). Reach out to us about our cat sitting service

Our cat sitters visiting your cat at your home (just the way your cat likes it).

During our cat sitting visit, expect that we will:

  • Refresh your cat’s water and food (wet, dry, or combination as per your instructions).
  • Scoop the litter box, and clean up any debris around the box.
    • Check your home for any “accidents”, such as fur balls, and clean up accordingly.
  • Provide medication (topical or oral) as per your instructions.
  • Pat, play (and with their permission) cuddle your cat to keep them stimulated and happy.
  • Send you a photo and update about how your cat is doing and notify you immediately if we find any issues. We send our updates via our mobile app, which sends you an email!
  • We are happy to fully clean and change over the litter box – particularly useful for longer sitting engagements – for an additional fee.

How it Works

1. Contact us by phone or email

We’ll want to know information like:

  • The dates you’ll be away.
  • How many visits you need per day, and what time windows you’re needing (morning, mid-day, afternoon/evening).
  • What your instructions are for food, water, medication and litter box cleaning, and any other instructions you have (for example, instructions around medication).

2. 30-minute meet & greet and key collection

We’ll arrange a convenient time to meet you and your cat to review the instructions you have about visiting your home, and caring for your cat. We’ll also collect keys at this time.

3. Provide payment

We accept e-transfer and credit cards.

4. Receive daily updates from your cat sitter

We’ll send you daily updates, including photos, of your cat and keep you informed of any and all issues we find. You can rest easy, knowing that your cat is in excellent paws.
